In response, we launched the distinguished Technical Fellows program in 2024. The program recognizes and empowers exceptional technical leaders who help shape the future of our organization and the industries we serve. As innovators and mentors, technical fellows take on complex challenges, foster technical excellence and inspire the next generation of engineers across Oshkosh.

Our technical fellows play a critical role in advancing enterprise-wide priorities. From the racetrack to the frontline

Protecting those who protect others is a non-negotiable in everything we do. That’s why we created CAMS (Collision Avoidance Mitigation System), an AI-powered system designed not just to react, but to anticipate.

Developed through Oshkosh’s Pratt Miller Motorsports business and tested on Pierce® fire apparatus, CAMS brings motorsports-grade intelligence and performance to emergency response — delivering situational awareness when it matters most.

When an emergency vehicle is stopped roadside, conditions can change in an instant. CAMS continuously monitors the environment using advanced perception sensors, including radar integrated with artificial intelligence. The system evaluates approaching traffic in real time, identifies potential collision risks and issues audible alerts to help crews respond quickly and safely.

Inside the cab, integrated cameras further heighten awareness as responders prepare to exit the vehicle, while also capturing critical video data to support documentation and post-incident review. With every real-world deployment, CAMS continues to learn — refining its intelligence and strengthening its performance over time.

Autonomy in action

Oshkosh developed a modular, commercial robotic platform designed to perform critical ground support tasks across the airport tarmac — from placing wheel chocks and connecting climate-control equipment to autonomously navigating between gates and service areas.

Originally engineered by Pratt Miller for defense applications, this platform demonstrates how advanced autonomy solutions can transition across the portfolio to serve new markets. By combining autonomous mobility, AI-driven perception and task-configurable hardware to operate safely and reliably in dynamic environments. Its modular design enables rapid reconfiguration to support a wide range of needs for ground crews.

Transforming job sites through connectivity

By connecting equipment, people, tools, materials and data through a unified digital ecosystem, JLG helps transform job site complexity into seamless coordination. Powered by ClearSky™ Smart Fleet technology, connected worksites enable machine-to-machine communication, enhanced asset visibility and predictive diagnostics that aid uptime, productivity and safety.
