Volunteering

At Oshkosh Corporation, volunteering is more than giving back — it’s how we show up for our communities and each other. We invest our time and talents to make a meaningful difference where it’s needed most. Through service, we strive to create lasting impact — enriching the lives of those we support while strengthening the passion and purpose of our team members.

Good to give back

Good to Give Back Month is a cornerstone of our community engagement efforts, reflecting our commitment to the places where our team members live and work. During this annual global initiative, team members are encouraged to step outside their daily roles and dedicate their time, talents and passion to supporting local communities.

Feed the Body, Feed the Soul

Each year, Feed the Body, Feed the Soul brings together over 1,200 volunteers worldwide to pack more than 250,000 pounds of food staples for those in need, all while feeding the souls of our volunteers with live music. In 2025 we had our largest year yet, with over 1,480 volunteers in Wisconsin, Maryland and France packing an incredible 257,248 pounds of food, helping to fight hunger in our local communities.

Connecting and

giving back

When I started at Oshkosh Corporation, I moved to a new area and wanted to be involved in my new community. Through company volunteer events, I have gotten to meet people throughout the area who share a passion for giving back and making their communities stronger. I’ve helped the United Way with several diaper packs and see what a difference it makes for those families in need. Being able to help the next generation and be a small helping hand continues to inspire me to give back in all the ways that I can.

Moments that make a difference

If I can make just one person’s day a little easier or brighter, help put food on one family’s table, or make one child smile, that’s more than worth a few hours of my time. My favorite memory of volunteering at the community pantry is working in the children’s corner and helping them pick out a book to take home. Recently, a little girl who loved fantasy books came by, and I found her a “Magic Tree House” book about dragons. She was so excited that she jumped up and down and ran to find her mother to show off her new book.

Combining teams to make an impact

Our combined teams had a wonderful time volunteering at Solutions Recovery, Inc. — it was a truly meaningful and memorable experience. I am so glad we got to meet and spend time with several members of the Solutions staff — truly wonderful and gifted people who care deeply about the work they do and the people in Oshkosh that they serve. It was a great reminder of the power of service, being part of a community and how just a few hours can make a difference — for others and for our teams.
